Honest Government
One motto that I have tried to live by is “No Surprises.” All relevant information needs to be available for review and open discussion early in the decision making process. This means that our citizens need open and timely access to public documents. It means that council agendas must be published well ahead of time so that people can come to meetings prepared to examine all aspects of the issues that we face. The best decisions consider all relevant data. We need to listen to everybody to make the best decisions.
